This study aims at examining whether the use of feedback strategy improves &#13;
students’ performance in English writing ability.Quantitative approach with &#13;
experimental research was undertaken to overcome the problems faced by students in &#13;
learning writing skill. The instrument used to collect the data in this study by means &#13;
of the test in the form of written test. The result of the test analyzed by using writing &#13;
criteria proposed by Brown (2004). In addition, some statisctical formulae were also &#13;
used to analyze the data. From the results of the study revealed there is a significant &#13;
improvement on students’ post test in writing ability after the feedback strategy &#13;
implemented. Thus, feedback can be one of alternative strategy used by the teacher &#13;
in teaching English particularly teaching writing in EFL class.</note>
