The objective of this study is to find out whether video segments improve students’ listening ability. Experimental research design is used as the research method. This research took place in MAN Model Banda Aceh. A class was chosen as the research sample, which consists of 25 students. The instrument used was in the form of multiple choices which consist of identical 15 questions for both pre-test and post-test. The result of the research was analyzed by using paired t-test formula. The calculation result showed that the observed t value was higher than t lower critical value in the t distribution table (t=18.371 > t¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬1=2.064) at the 0.05 level of significance with 24 degrees of freedom. It means the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected, which proves that video segments improve students’ listening ability.</note>
