ABSTRAK
Bunga rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) merupakan tanaman yang memiliki kandungan antosianin yang dapat berperan sebagai senyawa antioksidan alami. Body butter ekstrak kelopak bunga rosela ialah salah satu bentuk sediaan kosmetika topikal yang mengandung cocoa butter sehingga memiliki kemampuan sangat baik dalam menutrisi dan menjaga kelembaban kulit. Ekstrak etanol kelopak bunga rosela diperoleh dengan metode maserasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat formulasi body butter menjadi sediaan yang baik berdasarkan parameter mutu dan mengetahui konsentrasi terbaik cocoa butter sebagai basis yang dapat memberikan aktivitas melembabkan kulit. Konsentrasi cocoa butter yang digunakan di dalam formula adalah F1 (5%), F2 (10%) dan F3 (15%) dengan konsentrasi ekstrak kelopak bunga rosela 1%. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan body butter formula F1, F2 dan F3 telah memenuhi persyaratan untuk homogenitas, pH, daya lekat, dan viskositas namun, uji daya sebar yang didapat untuk F1 sebesar 5,13 cm masih memenuhi persyaratan sedangkan, F2 dan F3 sebesar 4,61 cm dan 4,01 cm belum memenuhi persyaratan. Hasil uji stabilitas didapat bahwa sediaan stabil untuk semua uji kecuali organoleptik dan uji daya sebar. Hasil uji kelembaban kulit sediaan body butter yang didapat menyatakan bahwa nilai kelembaban semakin meningkat disetiap minggu nya dengan rerata persentase peningkatan kelembaban untuk F1: 3,6%, F2: 7,9% dan F3: 8,8%. Hasil uji iritasi tidak terdapatnya iritasi pada 30 orang panelis. Hasil uji hedonik menghasilkan formula F2 lebih disukai panelis dari semua parameter (tekstur, warna dan aroma). Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kelopak bunga rosela dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan body butter karena memiliki aktivitas dalam melembabkan kulit.

ABSTRACT
Roselle flower (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is a plant that contains anthocyanins that can act as natural antioxidant compounds. Roselle flower petal extract body butter is one of the topical cosmetic dosage forms that contains cocoa butter so that it has excellent ability to nourish and maintain skin moisture. Ethanol extract of roselle petals was obtained by maceration method. The purpose of this study was to make the body butter formulation into a good preparation based on quality parameters and to determine the best concentration of cocoa butter as a base that can provide skin moisturizing activity. Concentrations of cocoa butter used in the formula are F1 (5%), F2 (10%) and F3 (15%) with a concentration of 1% roselle petal extract. The evaluation results show that the body butter formulas F1, F2 and F3 have met the requirements for homogeneity, pH, adhesion, and viscosity, however, the spreadability test obtained for F1 of 5.13 cm still meets the requirements, while F2 and F3 are 4.61 cm and 4.01 cm do not meet the requirements. The results of the stability test showed that the preparation was stable for all tests except organoleptic and dispersibility tests. The results of the skin moisture test for body butter preparations showed that the moisture value was increasing every week with the average percentage increase in humidity for F1: 3.6%, F2: 7.9% and F3: 8.8%. The results of the irritation test showed no irritation in 30 panelists. The results of the preference test resulted in the F2 formula being preferred by panelists from all parameters (texture, color and aroma). Based on the evaluation results, it can be concluded that the ethanolic extract of roselle petals can be formulated into body butter preparations because it has activity in moisturizing the skin
