This study is entitled "Applying Contextual Teaching and Learning Method in Teaching Writing for Senior High School Students". The objective of this study is to look at some give theories and research findings on the use of Contextual Teaching and Learning method in teaching English. The discussion of this study is focused on the effectiveness of using Contextual Teaching and Learning method in solving students' problem in teaching and learning process of writing skill. Through this study, it is found that applying Contextual Teaching and Learning method can motivate students to write since it relates subject matter to their daily life. The method used in this study is library research. Readings obtained are processed and described in a descriptive way. Based on the research findings and experts' statements, it is found that Contextual Teaching and Learning method is effective to enhance the students' writing skill.
