ABSTRAK Penelitian uji toksisitas dan uji daya tolak (repellent) ekstrak etanol buah lerak terhadap rayap C.curvignathus dan N.matangensis telah dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ekstrak etanol buah lerak (Sapindus rarak) mempunyai aktivitas insektisida terhadap rayap. Hasil skrining fitokimia ekstrak etanol buah lerak menghasilkan metabolit sekunder berupa alkaloid, saponin, steroid, dan triterpen. Uji toksisitas menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol buah lerak (Sapindus rarak) mempunyai efek toksisitas terhadap rayap C.curvignathus dan N.matangensis dengan nilai LC50 masing-masing sebesar 2,523 ppm dan 0,249 ppm. Uji daya tolak (repellent) terhadap rayap C.curvignathus dan N.matangensis menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol buah lerak pada konsentrasi 800 ppm mempunyai efek repellent masing-masing sebesar 94,73% dan 92,87%. ABSTRACT The toxicity and repellency activities of ethanolic Sapindus rarak extract towards C.curvignathus and N.matangensis has been done with the aim to determine the activity of ethanolic Sapindus rarak extract against termites. The screening of phytochemicals showed that ethanolic Sapindus rarak extract contains alkaloids, saponins, steroids and triterpene. The toxicity assay showed that ethanolic Sapindus rarak extract has toxicity activity against C.curvignathus and N.matangensis with the LC50 values were 2,523 and 0,249 ppm respectively. The repellency assay revealed that ethanolic Sapindus rarak extract the concentration of 800 ppm has repellency effect towards C.curvignathus and N.matangensis with the percentages of repellency were 94,73 and 92,87% respectively.
