It was reported that male group are regarded to have the highest use of metacognitive strategies and female were presented to have the highest used of compensation and affective strategies. In the term of English proficiency, the successful students are the highest user of teaming strategies. While in the term of language use at home, the student who use Indonesian language at home were prefer to use affective learning strategies as second choice.
