Reading is very important for students in learning English as foreign language. However, it is hard for the students to comprehend and answer the questions of reading passage. To solve the problem, the teacher should apply an appropriate technique to improve students' reading comprehension. The study shows that using the cooperative learning technique numbered heads together is effective in improving the students• reading comprehension.
