<note>PENGARUH PEMBERIAN GEL EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN MALAKA
(Phyllanthus emblica) TERHADAP KETEBALAN EPIDERMIS KULIT
TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus) DALAM PENYEMBUHAN LUKA
BAKAR
mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh
pemberian gel ekstrak etanol daun malaka (Phyllanthus emblica) terhadap ketebalan epidermis
kulit tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) dalam mempercepat penyembuhan luka bakar. Digunakan 24
ekor tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang dibagi atas 4 kelompok perlakuan yaitu Kelompok P1
(kontrol negatif) dioleskan NaCl fisiologis, kelompok P2 dioleskan gel ekstrak etanol daun malaka
(Phyllanthus emblica) 5%, kelompok P3 dioleskan gel ekstrak etanol daun malaka (Phyllanthus
emblica) 10%, kelompok P4 (kontrol positif) dioleskan bioplacenton®. Luka bakar dibuat pada
area punggung menggunakan plat baja berukuran 2x2 yang dipanaskan selama 5 menit dan
tempelkan 5 detik hingga membentuk luka bakar derajat IIa. Gel ekstrak etanol daun malaka
(Phyllanthus emblica) diberikan 2 kali sehari selama 14 hari. Kemudian dibuat preparat
histopatologi dengan pewarnaan HE.

THE EFFECT ETHANOL EXTRACT OF MALACCA LEAVES
(PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA) GEL TO EPIDERMIS
THICKNESS OF WHITE RAT (RATTUS
NORVEGICUS) IN BURN HEALING
ABSTRACT
Burns are caused by exposure to heat sources such as electricity, hot water, chemicals,
fire, radiation, results of medical action, and physiological changes in the body. Some of the
topical chemical agents of the burns have bad effect on the body. The malacca leaves ethanol
extract (Phyllanthus Emblica) contains saponin, flavonoids and tannins which are believed to
accelerate the healing of burns. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the
malacca leaf ethanol extract (Phyllanthus emblica) to the epidermis of white rat skin (Rattus
norvegicus) in accelerating the healing of burns. Used 24 white rat (Rattus norvegicus) divided
into 4 treatment groups namely Group P1 (negative control) applied physiological NaCl, P2
groups were applied for the malacca leaves ethanol extract (Phyllanthus Emblica) 5%, the P3
group was applied to the malacca leaves ethanol extract (Phyllanthus emblica), the P4 group
(positive control) applied to Bioplacenton®. The burns are made on the back area using a 2x2
sized steel plate that is heated for 5 minutes and a 5 second stick to the IIa degree burns. The
malacca leaves ethanol extract gel (Phyllanthus emblica) is administered 2 times daily for 14 days.
Then made a histopathology preparation with the coloring of HE. The epidermis thickness Data is
analyzed using the ANOVA, continued with Duncan test. The results showed that administration
of ethanol extract of Malacca leaves (Phyllanthus emblica) with a concentration of 10% was
effective in healing burns, as evidenced by the average thickness of the epidermis that is 64.01 ±
9.08c µm which has the thinnest thickness than other treatments
