Pendahuluan: Carpal tunnel syndrome merupakan neuropati kompresi yang&#13;
mengenai saraf median, menyebabkan rasa nyeri, baal, dan kesemutan pada tangan,&#13;
yang dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup. Citicoline berperan dalam regenerasi saraf&#13;
setelah cedera sehingga mencegah terbentuknya neuroma yang dapat menginduksi&#13;
nyeri neuropatik. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efikasi kombinasi citicoline,&#13;
prednisolon dan gabapentin pada Carpal tunnel syndrome dalam mengurangi nyeri&#13;
neuropatik dan memperbaiki kecepatan hantar saraf.&#13;
Metode: Penelitian quasi experimental dengan rancangan non equivalent control&#13;
group design dan single blind. Penelitian mulai 1 Januari sampai 31 Maret 2021&#13;
dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok yaitu:&#13;
kelompok I yang diberikan prednisolon, gabapentin serta citicoline, dan kelompok&#13;
II yang diberikan prednisolon, gabapentin dan plasebo. Dinilai skor Numeric Rating&#13;
Scale dan kecepatan hantar saraf.&#13;
Hasil: Perbaikan yang signifikan terlihat pada skor NRS (p-value = 0,019) dan&#13;
SNAP KHS kiri (p-value = 0,039) pada kelompok yang diberikan citicoline.&#13;
Kesimpulan: Kombinasi citicoline, prednisolon dan gabapentin memiliki efikasi&#13;
dalam tatalaksana Carpal tunnel syndrome dalam menurunkan skor nyeri dan&#13;
memperbaiki kecepatan hantar saraf. &#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
Introduction: Carpal tunnel syndrome is a compression neuropathy that affects the&#13;
median nerve in the carpal tunnel causing pain, numbness, and tingling in the&#13;
hands, which can reduce quality of life. Citicoline plays a role in nerve regeneration&#13;
after injury to prevent the formation of neuromas that can induce neuropathic pain.&#13;
This study was conducted to determine the efficacy of combination of citicoline,&#13;
prednisolone and gabapentin in Carpal tunnel syndrome in reducing neuropathic&#13;
pain and improving nerve conduction velocity.&#13;
Methods: A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design&#13;
and single blind. The study started from January 1 to March 31, 2021 with&#13;
consecutive sampling technique. The sample consisted of two groups: group I which&#13;
was given prednisolone, gabapentin and citicoline, and group II which was given&#13;
prednisolone, gabapentin and placebo. We assessed the numeric rating scale score&#13;
and nerve conduction velocity.&#13;
Results: Significant improvement was seen in the numeric rating scale score (pvalue&#13;
&#13;
= 0.019), and the left of NCV SNAP (p-value = 0.039) in the citicoline&#13;
administered group.&#13;
Conclusion: The combination of citicoline, prednisolone and gabapentin has&#13;
efficacy in the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome in reducing pain score and&#13;
improving nerve conduction velocity. &#13;
