Hal ini menjadi indikator belum maksimalnya pelaksanaan pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi. Sementara itu 140 orang perawat telah mendapatkan pelatihan Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurse (IPCLN), sehingga seharusnya pelaksanaan pencegahan dan pengen-dalian infeksi di rumah sakit tersebut sudah berjalan dengan baik. Kondisi ini dapat saja disebabkan oleh motivasi kerja IPCLN yang masih rendah dan pelaksa-naan supervisi yang masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi dan supervisi dengan kinerja IPCLN dalam menerapkan pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi pada rumah sakit di Provinsi Aceh. Desain penelitian ini adalah korelasional dengan sampel 64 orang IPCLN. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada hub-ungan yang signifikan antara motivasi perawat kebutuhan untuk berprestasi, status kepegawaian, masa kerja, motivasi perawat dari aspek kebutuhan untuk berpres-tasi, motivasi kebutuhan untuk berafiliasi dan supervisi dengan kinerja perawat IPCLN pada Rumah Sakit di Kota Banda Aceh dan Kab. Aceh Besar (P-value < 0,05). Kebutuhan untuk berprestasi merupakan prediktor yang paling dominan berhubungan dengan kinerja perawat IPCLN. Kepada pihak terkait agar dapat memberikan dukungan kepada IPCLN untuk meningatkan prestasi dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi melalui reward dan kegiatan pelatihan. ABSTRACT According to 2019 published reports, Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI) are still appearing in Aceh government’s hospitals. This indicates that the infec-tion prevention and control is not optimally implemented. Meanwhile, 140 nurses have accomplished Infection Prevention and Control Link Nurse (IPCLN) training, therefore the implementation of infection prevention and control in hospitals is expected to be improved. This situation is possibly caused by the lack of working motivation among IPCLN as well as the lack of supervision. The purpose of this research is to identify the correlation between motivation and supervision with the performance of IPLCN in implementing infection prevention and control in Aceh Province’s hospitals. The research design is correlational using the sample of 64 IPCLN personals. Data is acquired by utilizing questioner. The result of data analysis reveals that there is significant relation between nurse’s motivation for high achievement, employment status, working period, the need of affiliation and supervision with IPCLN nurse’s performance in the city of Banda Aceh and the district of Aceh Besar (P-value < 0,05). The need for high achievement is a domi-nant predictor in relation to IPCLN nurse’s performance. It is expected that the stakeholders can provide adequate support through rewards and trainings for IP-CLN in order to improve the infection prevention and control.
