ABSTRAK
Uji aktivitas antimikroba ekstrak metanol jangjingki (Oxalis corniculata L.) telah dilakukan terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, dan jamur Candida albicans. Ekstrak tumbuhan jangjingki diperoleh melalui metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol yang telah didestilasi. Hasil karakterisasi simplisia jangjingki menunjukkan bahwa simplisia mengandung kadar air sebesar 7,17%, kadar sari larut air 11,67%, kadar sari larut etanol 9,17% dan kadar abu total 9,68%. Sedangkan ekstrak metanol jangjingki mengandung kadar air sebesar 22,5%, kadar sari larut air 55,83%, kadar sari larut etanol 62,91% dan kadar abu total 10,16%. Hasil uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak metanol jangjingki mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin dan steroid. Pengujian aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode sumuran dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak yaitu 15, 20, 30 dan 40% untuk bakteri dan 5, 10, 15, dan 20% untuk jamur. Hasil uji aktivitas antimikroba menunjukkan bahwa esktrak metanol jangjingki memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli dengan diameter zona hambat terbesar berada pada konsentrasi 40% berturut-turut yaitu 8,07 mm dan 11 mm, namun pada uji aktivitas antijamur ekstrak metanol jangjingki tidak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan jamur C. albicans.

ABSTRACT
Antimicrobial activity of methanol extract of jangjingki (Oxalis corniculata L.) against the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans has been conducted. The jangjingki plant extract was obtained through the maceration method with distilled methanol as solvent. The jangjingki simplicia characterization showed that the simplicia contains 7.17% of water, 11.67% of water soluble extract, 9.17% of ethanol soluble extract and 9.68% of total ash content. While the methanol extract of jangjingki contains 22.5% of water, 55.83% of water soluble extract, 62.91% of ethanol soluble extract and 10.16% of total ash content. Phytochemical test results showed that the methanol extract of jangjingki contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids. Antimicrobial activity test was conducted using a well diffusion method with variation of extract concentrations were 15, 20, 30 and 40% for bacteria and 5, 10, 15, and 20% for fungi. Antimicrobial activity assay showed that methanol extract of jangjingki had antibacterial activity against S. aureus and E. coli bacteria with the largest inhibition zone diameter at a concentration of 40% were 8.07 mm and 11 mm respectively, however the extract cannot inhibit the growth of the fungus C. albicans.
