ABSTRAK
Metode transportasi merupakan suatu teknik riset operasi dalam menentukan solusi optimal dari suatu proses pendistribusian dengan tujuan memaksimumkan keuntungan dan meminimumkan biaya transportasi. Revised Distribution Method (RDI) adalah metode langsung dari salah satu metode transportasi yang tidak memerlukan metode penyelesaian awal dan akhir untuk mencapai hasil yang optimal. Usaha peternakan sapi Pak Ibrahim memiliki empat wilayah sumber, yaitu Tripa Makmur, Panga, Kutablang dan Takengon. Pada periode Juni - September 2019 usaha peternakan sapi Pak Ibrahim memiliki masalah pendistribusian, yaitu total kapasitas permintaan lebih besar dari pada total kapasitas persediaan. Untuk memperoleh keuntungan yang maksimum salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan meminimumkan biaya transportasi. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Revised Distribution Method (RDI) untuk meminimumkan biaya transportasi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan menggunakan metode RDI pengalokasian yang optimal adalah dari Tripa Makmur ke Blangpidie 44 ekor, Tripa Makmur ke Meulaboh 48 ekor, dari Panga ke Meulaboh 21 ekor, Panga ke Banda Aceh 64 ekor, Kutablang ke Banda Aceh 7 ekor, Kutablang ke Lhokseumawe 12 ekor, Kutablang ke Sigli 57 ekor, Takengon ke Banda Aceh 52 ekor, sedangkan 30 ekor permintaan untuk daerah Banda Aceh dapat diabaikan, karena jika pendistribusian menuju wilayah Banda Aceh lebih diutamakan daripada permintaan wilayah tujuan yang lain, maka akan membutuhkan biaya transportasi yang lebih besar dari biaya yang telah ditentukan menggunakan metode RDI, sehingga menyebabkan pengalokasian tidak optimal. Total biaya pendistribusian menggunakan metode RDI adalah Rp278.432.794,00 dimana sebelum menggunakan metode trasportasi biaya total untuk proses pendistribusian adalah Rp298.945.571,00. Sehingga dapat dilihat bahwa metode RDI dapat meminimumkan sebesar 7% dari biaya transportasi awal.

ABSTRACT
The transportation method is an operation method technique in determining the optimal solution of a distribution process in order to maximize profits and minimize the cost of transportation. Revised Distribution Method (RDI) is one of step the transportation methods that are require initial and final finishing method for achieve optimal results. Pak Ibrahim’s cattle farm business has four sources in Tripa Makmur, Panga, Kutablang and Takengon. For the period June - September 2019 has a distribution process problem, where total amount of demand capacity is greater than the total amount of supply. To maximize profits in Pak Ibrahim’s cattle farm business, one of the strategies that can be used is in the process by minimizing distribution costs. In this study, one of step the transportation methods is used, namely Revised Distribution Method (RDI) to minimize cost of transportation. Based on result calculations using RDI method, the optimal allocation is from Tripa Makmur to Blangpidie is 44 cows, Tripa Makmur to Meulaboh is 48 cowss, Panga to Meulaboh is 21 cows, Panga to Banda Aceh is 64 cows, Kutablang to Banda Aceh is 7 cows, Kutablang to Lhokseumawee is 12 heads, Kutablang to Sigli is 57 ekor, Takengon to Banda Aceh is 52 cows, and 30 cows request for Banda Aceh area can be agnored, because if distribution for Banda Aceh region takes precedence over the request for the destination area otherwise it will require transportation costs that are greater than the cost which has been determined using the RDI method, causing the allocation is not optimal. The total cost of distribution using the RDI method is IDR.278.432.794,-, where before using the transportation method the total cost for the distribution is IDR.298.945.571,00,-, so it can bee seen that the RDI method can minimize 7% of the initial for transportation costs.
