ABSTRAK&#13;
Bakteri endofit asal tanaman mampu memproduksi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang memiliki efek antimikroba. Gen nonribosomal peptida sintase merupakan gen penyandi enzim peptida nonribosom yang terlibat dalam biosintesis senyawa bioaktif antimikroba. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeteksi gen nonribosomal peptida sintase sebagai penanda biosintesis antibiotik dari bakteri endofit balakacida asal Banda Aceh. Sampel yang digunakan adalah isolat bakteri terpilih (BEB-4 dan BEB-5) dari tanaman balakacida (Chromolaena odorata) asal Banda Aceh yang telah tumbuh dengan baik pada media nutrient broth (NB). Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap yaitu isolasi DNA menggunakan PrestoTM Mini  gDNA Bacteria Kit (Geneaid), amplifikasi DNA menggunakan teknik polymerase chain reaction (PCR), elektroforesis produk PCR, sekuensing, analisis bioinformatika dan konstruksi pohon filogenetik menggunakan software MEGA 10.0. Gen NRPS isolat BEB-5 bakteri balakacida berhasil diamplifikasi, isolat BEB-4  menunjukkan pita DNA yang tidak spesifik. Sekuen DNA isolat BEB-5 memiliki homologi 87,05% dengan Pseudomonas FDAARGOS 380 cromosome berdasarkan database GenBank. Hasil analisis konstruksi pohon filogenetik menunjukkan bahwa isolat tersebut berkerabat dekat dengan genus Pseudomonas FDAARGOS 380 cromosome.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Endophytic bacteria can produce secondary metabolite compounds that have antimicrobial effects. The nonribosomal peptide synthase is a gene encodes nonribosome enzyme called peptide synthase that  involved in biosynthesis of bioactive antimicrobial compounds. The purpose of this study is to detect nonribosomal peptide synthase a marker of antibiotic biosynthesis from endophytic bacteria weed from Banda Aceh. The chosen bacteria isolates were (BEB-4 and BEB-5) of Chromolaena odorata from Banda Aceh that had grown well in nutrient broth. The study was conducted with several steps, which are DNA isolation using PrestoTM Mini gDNA Bacteria Kit (Geneaid); DNA amplification using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technic; electrophoresis product of PCR;  sequencing; bioinformatics analysis; and contraction of the phylogenetic tree using MEGA 10.0 software. The NRPS gene was succesfully amplified from BEB-5 isolate. Sequence alingment using online BLASTN program showed the gene has 87.5 % homology with the chromosome of Pseudomonas FDAARGOS 380. The phylogenic analysis showed that the isolate in the same cluster with the Pseudomonas FDAARGOS 380.&#13;
