This research is an experimental study which uses one group pretest-posttest design. It was conducted at SMKN 2 Banda Aceh. The purpose of this study is to find out whether Think Pair Share (TPS) Technique can improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. From the result of the study, it was found that the students’ mean scores of pre-test and post-test are different. Students’ mean scores of pre-test are 45 and 67.8 for post-test. Then the t-test is 8.38 and the t-table is 2.064. the significant level used in this research is 0.05. Because of the value of t-test is higher than the t-table (8.38>2.064), Ha is accepted and H0 was rejected. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that Think Pair Share (TPS) technique can improve students’ ability in reading comprehension. Indeed, it is recommended for teachers to apply this technique in teaching English, especially in teaching reading comprehension.
