 <note>Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama waktu perendaman Rootone-f dan komposisi media tanam serta interaksi keduanya yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan setek tanaman lada. Penelitian ini  menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola Faktorial 3 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah lama waktu perendaman Rootone-f dengan 3 taraf, R1= 1,5 jam, R2 = 3 jam, R3 = 4,5 jam faktor perlakuan kedua adalah perlakuan komposisi media tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, M0 = tanah, M1= tanah + pupuk kandang (2:1) , M2 = tanah + pupuk kandang + arang sekam (2:1:1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lama waktu perendaman Rootone-f berpengaruh  nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada umur 30 HST dan bobot berangkasan basah tanaman. Pertumbuhan setek lada terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan lama waktu perendaman  Rootone-f 3 jam. Komposisi media tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada umur 90 HST dan bobot berangkasan basah tanaman. Pertumbuhan setek lada terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan komposisi media tanah (M0). Terdapat interaksi sangat nyata antara perlakuan lama waktu perendaman Rootone-f dan media tanam terhadap jumlah daun pada umur 90 HST dan bobot berangkasan kering tanaman. Kombinasi terbaik dijumpai pada perlakuan komposisi media tanah andisol (M0) dengan lama waktu perendaman Rootone-f  3 jam (R2). &#13;

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of rootone-f soaking time and the composition of the planting medium as well as their most effective interactions to increase the growth of pepper cutting. This study used a 3 x 3 factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 3 replications. The first factor is the soaking time of Rootone-f with 3 levels, R1 = 1.5 hours, R2 = 3 hours, R3 = 4.5 hours.The second treatment factor is the composition of the planting medium which consists of 3 levels, M0 = soil, M1 = soil + manure (2: 1), M2 = soil + manure + husk charcoal (2: 1: 1). The results showed that the duration of soaking Rootone-f had a significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 30 DAS and the weight of the plant's wet strop. The best growth of pepper cuttings was found in the long soaking time of Rootone-f 3 hours. The composition of the planting medium had a very significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 90 DAS and the weight of the plant's wet stump. The best growth of pepper cutting was found in the soil medium composition (M0) treatment. There is a very real interaction between the treatment of Rootone-f immersion time and the planting medium on the number of leaves at the age of 90 DAS and plant dry weight. The best combination was found in the treatment of andisol (M0) soil media composition with a long soaking time of Rootone-f 3 hours (R2).&#13;
