GAMBARAN PEMBERIAN INFORMASI TENTANG PENCEGAHAN
SEKUNDER ULKUS KAKI DIABETIK PADA PASIEN DIABETES
MELITUS DI RUANG POLIKLINIK ENDOKRIN RUMAH SAKIT UMUM
DAERAH dr. ZAINOEL ABIDIN BANDA ACEH TAHUN 2013
ABSTRAK
Informasi berguna untuk membuat keputusan karena informasi menurunkan
ketidakpastian atau meningkatkan pengetahuan. Informasi yang diperoleh oleh
pasien akan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan
perawatan dirinya. Adanya pemahaman yang baik pada pasien tentang DM dan
segala komplikasi kroniknya serta perawatan luka yang adekuat merupakan faktor
yang sangat mempengaruhi keberhasilan terapi, pencegahan luka ataupun kecacatan.
Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan gambaran pemberian informasi kesehatan
tentang pencegahan sekunder ulkus kaki diabetik pada pasien diabetes melitus di
ruang poliklinik endokrin Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda
Aceh Tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif eksploratif dengan desaincross
sectional study. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 45 pasien ulkus kaki diabetik
dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu consecutive sampling. Pengumpulan data
dengan wawancara berdasarkan kuesioner yang terdiri dari 30 item pernyataan dalam
skala Guttman. Metode analisa data yaitu dengan menggunakan analisaunivariat.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian informasi tentang pencegahan sekunder
ulkus kaki diabetik berada pada kategori baik sebanyak (56,6%): kontrol metabolik
pada kategori baik sebanyak (73,3%), kontrol vaskular pada kategori baik(53,3%),
kontrol luka pada kategori baik (84,4%), kontrol infeksi pada kategori baik
(56,6%), kontrol mekanik pada kategori baik (62,2%) dan kontrol edukasi pada
kategori baik (68,9%).Saran dari hasil penelitian untuk pengambil kebijakan di
rumah sakit agar dapat melakukan pelayanan sesuai standar operasional prosedur,
serta melakukan supervisi terhadap perawat untuk menekan angka kejadian ulkus
diabetik.

ABSTRACT
Useful information to make decisions because information reduces uncertainty or
improve knowledge. Information obtained by the patient will provide the knowledge
and skills to meet the needs of her care. The existence of both the patient's
understanding of diabetes and all the complications kroniknya and adequate wound
care are factors that influence the success of therapy, prevention of injury or
disability. The purpose of research is to describe the picture of the provision of health
information on the secondary prevention of diabetic foot ulcers in patients with
diabetes mellitus in the endocrine clinic dr Regional General Hospital. Zainoel
Abidin Banda Aceh Year 2013. This type of research is exploratory descriptive
cross-sectional study design. The samples in this study were 45 patients with diabetic
foot ulcers sampling technique that consecutive sampling. Collecting data with
interview based questionnaire consisting of 30 items in the statement of Guttman
scale. Methods of data analysis by using univariate analysis. The results showed the
provision of information about secondary prevention of diabetic foot ulcers in the
category as well (56.6%): metabolic control in both categories as many (73.3%),
vascular control in both categories (53.3%), injury control in either category (84.4%),
infection control in both categories (56.6%), mechanical control in both categories
(62.2%) and control education in both categories (68.9%). Advice from the results of
research to decision makers in the hospital in order to perform services according to
standard operating procedures, as well as supervising nurse to suppress the incidence
of diabetic ulcers..
