ZAINOEL ABIDIN BANDA ACEH TAHUN 2013 ABSTRAK Dibetes mellitus (DM) merupakan kelainan metabolik yang mempengaruhi metabolisme karbohidrat, protein serat lemak yang mengharuskan pasien meningkatkan kepatuhan dalam menjalankan program diet secara tepat, sehingga dibutuhkan pemberian informasi kesehatan terhadap pasien dalam rangka mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kepatuhan pasien dalam menjalankan program diet tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hubungan pemberian informasi kesehatan oleh perawat pelaksana dengan kepatuhan diet pada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II di ruang Mamplam I BLUD RSUD dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif dengan desain cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Metode analisis data dengan menggunakan uji statistik chisquare, hasil penelitian adalah ada hubungan antara pemberian informasi kesehatan (P-value 0,03) dengan kepatuhan diet pasien DM tipe II yang dirawat di ruang rawat inap Mamplam I Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh tahun 2013. Untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kepatuhan diet pasien DM tipe II diharapkan perawat pelaksana agar lebih meningkatkan pemberian informasi kesehatan mengenai pengaturan diet terhadap pasien DM tipe II. ZAINOEL ABIDIN PUBLIC HOSPITAL, BANDA ACEH IN 2013 ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease which influences carbohydrates, fat, fiber protein metabolism which obliges its patients to increase their obedience in carrying out diet program. Thus, it is necessary to provide health information to patients in order to maintain and enhance their obedience in undergoing the diet program. The objective of research to find out to what extent the correlation between health information provision by nurses and type II DM patients’ diet obedience in Mamplam I ward, dr. Zainoel Abidin public hospital, Banda Aceh in 2013. The type of this research was correlative descriptive with cross sectional design. The sample was taken using purposive sampling technique and the number of the sample was 30 patients. The data was then analyzed using chi-square statistic test method. The result of the research showed that there was a correlation between health information provision (P-value 0,03) and type II DM patients’ diet obedience in Mamplam I ward, dr. Zainoel Abidin public hospital, Banda Aceh in 2013. To maintain and increase type II DM patients’ diet obedience, it is therefore important for the nurses to enhance health information provision which is given both to type II DM patients.
