ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang distribusi jenis rayap di Kawasan Perumahan PT. Arun telah dilakukan pada Mei 2013 sampai Juli 2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi jenis rayap di Kawasan Perumahan PT. Arun. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Survei yaitu finding colony dan cassual collection. Ditemukan 78 koloni rayap pada berbagai habitat yang terdiri dari tiga famili (Kalotermitidae, Rhinotermitidae, dan Termitidae), enam genera (Cryptotermes, Glyptotermes, Coptotermes, Schedorhinotermes, Microtermes, dan Nasutitermes), dan sebelas jenis (Glyptotermes sp., C. domesticus, C. cynocephalus, C. dudleyi, C. curvignathus, C. kalshoveni, C. sepangensis, S. sarawakensis, S. medioobscurus, N. matangensis, dan M. pakistanicus). Glyptotermes sp. merupakan jenis rayap yang paling banyak ditemukan (20 koloni) di Perumahan PT. Arun. C. cynocephalus, C. kalshoveni, dan S. sarawakensis merupakan jenis rayap yang paling sedikit ditemukan yaitu masing-masing terdiri dari satu koloni. Rayap banyak ditemukan pada tanaman dan kayu lapuk yang terdapat di pekarangan rumah. Distribusi jenis rayap di Perumahan PT. Arun menunjukkan pola secara mengelompok dan acak. Kata kunci : Distribusi, rayap, dan PT. Arun ABSTRACT Research about distribution of termite’s species had been conducted in PT. Arun Housing Area from May 2013 to July 2014. This research aimed to know distribution of various species of termite in PT. Arun Housing Area. Survey design was applied to the research. The Data was collected by finding colony and cassual collection. The result showed that 78 termite colonies were collected from various habitats which consist of six genera (Cryptotermes, Glyptotermes, Coptotermes, Schedorhinotermes, Microtermes, and Nasutitermes), and eleven species (Glyptotermes sp., C. domesticus, C. cynocephalus, C. dudleyi, C. curvignathus, C. kalshoveni, C. sepangensis, S. sarawakensis, S. medioobscurus, N. matangensis, and M. pakistanicus). Glyptotermes sp. was the most commonly found (20 colonies) in the area. C. cynocephalus, C. kalshoveni, and S. sarawakensis were the fewest species found that consist of one colony each species. Most of termite were found in plants and decay wood in the yard. Distribution of termite’s species in PT. Arun Housing Area showed that the clumped and random pattern.
