ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini berjudul Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Kinerja Polisi Lalu Lintas Dalam Melakukan Penertiban di Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana persepsi masyarakat terhadap kinerja polisi lalu lintas dalam melakukan penertiban di Kota Banda Aceh. Manfaat penelitian ini sebagai masukan dan informasi bagi Kepolisian serta sebagai pengetahuan bagi masyarakat tentang kinerja polisi lalu lintas. Teori Interaksinalisme Simbolik digunakan sebagai pisau analisis dalam penelitian ini. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan informan yang memenuhi kriteria subjek penelitian yaitu pengendara sepeda motor. Lokasi penelitian ini di Kota Banda Aceh Provinsi Aceh khsusunya di simpang Lampriet, Jambo Tape, simpang Mesjid Raya Baiturrahman dan Simpang Jam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, kinerja polisi lalu lintas dari tugas fungsi dan wewenang yang dijalankan polisi lalu lintas di Kota Banda Aceh belum sepenuhnya baik (negatif) dalam menjalankan kinerjanya. ditemukan beberapa oknum Polisi lalu lintas yang meminta suap kepada pengendara sepeda motor saat sedang bertugas.

ABSTRAK
This research is titled Public Perception of Traffic Police Performance in Conducting Control in Banda Aceh City. This research aims to find out and analyze how the public perceives the performance of traffic police in conducting the management in Banda Aceh City. The benefits of this research as input and information for the Police As well as as knowledge for the public about the performance of traffic police. The theory of Symbolic Interactionalism was used as an analytical knife in this study. Descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling techniques. The data is obtained through in-depth interviews with informants who meet the criteria of the research subject, namely motorcyclists. The research site is in Banda Aceh Aceh Province khsusunya at lampriet intersection, Jambo Tape, Simpang Masjid Raya Baiturrahman and Simpang Jam. The results of this study show that, the performance of traffic police from the function and authority duties carried out by traffic police in Banda Aceh city has not been entirely good (negative) in carrying out its performance. found several traffic police officers who asked for bribes to motorcyclists while on duty.
