PRODUKSI HIJAUAN DIBAWAH POHON KARET KABUPATEN ACEH BARAT, ACEH JAYA DAN NAGAN RAYA OLEH RICKY KURNIAWAN ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan di perkebunan karet di Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Aceh Jaya dan Nagan Raya, berlangsung dari tanggal 19 Mei sampai dengan 23 Juni 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui potensi dan produksi hijauan alam di bawah pohon karet Kabupaten Aceh Barat, Aceh Jaya dan Nagan Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Pengambilan sampel mengunakan metode purposive random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa produksi bahan segar tertinggi terdapat pada Kabupaten Aceh Barat (15823 kg/ha/tahun) dan terendah pada Kabupaten Aceh Jaya (10543,62 kg/ha/tahun). Kadar bahan kering tertinggi terdapat pada Kabupaten Aceh Jaya (31,81) dan terendah pada Kabupaten Aceh Barat (25,42). Produksi bahan kering tertinggi (4021,69 kg/ha/tahun) pada Kabupaten Aceh barat dan yang terendah (3311,61 kg/ha/tahun) pada Kabupaten Aceh Jaya dan daya tampung ternak tertinggi (1,29 ST) pada Kabupaten Aceh Barat dan terendah terdapat pada Kabupaten Aceh Jaya (1,06 ST). FORAGE PRODUCTION UNDER RUBBER TREES IN WEST ACEH DISTRICT, ACEH JAYA AND NAGAN RAYA BY RICKY KURNIAWAN ABSTRACT The research was carried out in a rubber plantation in West Aceh district, Aceh Jaya and Nagan Raya, conducted from May 19 to June 23, 2013. The objective of this studyis determine the potential and natural forage production under rubber trees of West Aceh district, Aceh Jaya and Nagan Raya. The research method used in this study was a survey method. Purposive random sampling method was used in this study. The results showed that the highest forage production was faund in west Aceh district (15823,72 kg/ha/year) and the lowest in Aceh Jaya (10543.62 kg/ ha/year). Dry matter content was highest in Aceh Jaya (31.81) and lowest in West Aceh district (25.42) and the highest dry matter production (4021.69 kg/ha/year) in the western Aceh district and the lowest (3311.61 kg/ha/year) in the district of Aceh Jaya and the highest livestock carrying capacity (1.29 ST) in West Aceh district and the lowest in Aceh Jaya (1.06 ST).
