ABSTRAK Manfaat pemberian ASI yang sangat besar ternyata belum mampu meningkatkan angka cakupan ASI eksklusif. Hal tersebut terlihat pada saat peneliti melakukan wawancara di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lampaseh Banda Aceh dari 7 responden yang memberikan ASI eksklusif hanya 2 orang (28,2%). Hal ini disebabkan berbagai faktor, salah satu faktor yang penting adalah dukungan suami berupa dukungan informasional, instrumental, penilaian, dan emosional. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan suami dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lampaseh Banda Aceh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah suami dan ibu menyusui yang mempunyai bayi 0-6 bulan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif koleratif dan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel secara accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari tanggal 7 sampai 21 Mei 2014 terhadap 58 responden di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lampaseh. Alat pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Metode analisa data menggunakan uji statistic Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah ada hubungan antara dukungan suami dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (p-value 0,002), ada hubungan antara dukungan informasional dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (p-value 0,048), ada hubungan antara dukungan instrumental dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (p-value 0,001), ada hubungan antara dukungan penilaian dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (p-value 0,005), ada hubungan antara dukungan emosional dengan motivasi ibu dalam pemberian ASI eksklusif (p-value 0,020). Diharapkan bagi keluarga terutama suami agar terus memberikan dukungan pada istri untuk menyusui secara eksklusif sampai bayi berumur 0-6 bulan. From the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in work area of LampasehCommunity Health Service in Banda Aceh, it is showed that from 58 respondents only 10 people (17.2%)who give exclusivebreastfeeding. This is caused by various factors. One of the important factors is the husband's support in form of informational support, instrumental support, appraisal support, and emotional support. The purpose of this research was to find out the correlation between husband support and mother motivation in giving exclusive breastfeeding.The research was conducted in work area of LampasehCommunity Health Centerin Banda Aceh. The research subjects were husband and breastfeeding mothers who have babies aged 0-6 months. The research design used was descriptivecorrelative study design and sample was selected by using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected from May 7-21 in 2014 towards 58 respondents in work area of Lampaseh Community Health Center through questionnaire. Method of data analysis used was chi-square statistical test.
