Title : Study of Fusobacterium nucleatum Biomass Index After aaaaaa aiiInteraction with Ethanol Extract of Moringa oleifera (Based on aaConcentration, Incubation Time, and pH)
Fusobacterium nucleatum is the dominant bacterium found in dental plaque biofilms. Moringa oleifera leaves have long been used as traditional medicine in healing and prevention because of the properties they contain. In bacterial breeding, an increase in bacterial cell mass and the number of bacteria. Bacterial growth can be defined as an increase in volume, size, and number of cells. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera leaves on changes in biomass and pH of Fusobacterium nucleatum based on concentration and incubation time. Moringa oleifera leaf extract with a concentration of 75%, 50%, 25%, 12.5%, 6.25% was made by maceration method. Positive control used CHX 0.2%. Testing the extract and its interaction with bacteria using a 50 ml pot which was then incubated for 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours. Mass measurements using analytical scales and pH measurements using a pH meter. The results of this study the ability of ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera leaves to the biomass of Fusobacterium nucleatum decreased mass. The ethanol extract of Moringa oleifera which was tested against the pH of Fusobacterium nucleatum increased in pH. The conclusion is Moringa oleifera leaf extract has an effect on changes in biomass and pH in Fusobacterium nucleatum.
