Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis protozoa gastrointestinal yang menginfestasi monyet ekor panjang ( Macaca fascicularis ) di Kota Sabang. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar pertimbangan untuk pengendalian penyakit zoonosis yang disebabkan oleh protozoa gastrointestinal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Parasitologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan 60 sampel feses monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) yang diambil dari dua kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Sukakarya sebanyak 30 sampel dan Kecamatan Sukajaya sebanyak 30 sampel. Sampel diperiksa dengan menggunakan metode floatation, formol ether, dan modified acid fast ziehl- neelsen. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pada  Kecamatan Sukakarya infestasi tertinggi adalah dari spesies Cyclospora cayetanensis (73%), dilanjutkan oleh genus Eimeria (53%), Balantidium (46%) dan  spesies Cryptosporidium parvum (43%) sedangkan di Kecamatan Sukajaya  infestasi tertinggi adalah dari genus yaitu Balantidium (53%), dilanjutkan oleh Eimeria (46%), spesies Cyclospora cayetanensis (30%) dan Cryptosporidium parvum (13%). Terdapat 4 genus ataupun spesies protozoa gastrointestinal yang  menyerang  monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) di Kota Sabang yaitu genus Eimeria, Balantidium, spesies Cyclospora cayetanensis dan spesies Cryptosporidium parvum.  &#13;

This study aims to determine the types of gastrointestinal protozoa that infest long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) in Sabang City. This study can be used as basic consideration for controlling zoonotic diseases caused by gastrointestinal protozoa. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Parasitology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Syiah Kuala University. This study used 60 long-tailed macaque faeces samples (Macaca fascicularis) that taken from two districts which is Sukakarya District with 30 samples and Sukajaya District with 30 samples. Samples were examined using the methods of floatation, formol ether, and modified acid fast ziehl-neelsen. The results of this study shows that, in Sukakarya District the highest infestation was from the species Cyclospora cayetanensis (73%), followed by the genus Eimeria (53%), Balantidium (46%) and Cryptosporidium parvum species (43%) while in Sukajaya District the highest infestation was from genus namely Balantidium (53%), followed by Eimeria (46%), Cyclospora cayetanensis species (30%) and Cryptosporidium parvum (13%). There are 4 genus or species of gastrointestinal protozoa that attack long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) in Sabang City, namely the genus Eimeria, Balantidium, Cyclospora cayetanensis species and Cryptosporidium parvum species.&#13;
