Abstrak &#13;
. &#13;
Bullying pada anak remaja merupakan salah satu masalah umum di sekolah yang&#13;
memiliki efek destruktif seperti ansietas, insomnia, depresi hingga bunuh diri.&#13;
Mekanisme koping merupakan suatu mekanisme dalam mengatasi perubahan yang&#13;
dihadapi atau beban yang diterima oleh tubuh, sehingga beban tersebut dapat&#13;
menimbulkan respon tubuh yang sifatnya non spesifik, yaitu stress. Tujuan&#13;
penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan mekanisme koping dalam mencegah&#13;
terjadinya bullying dengan menggunakan intervensi positive self-talk (PST). Desain&#13;
penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperiment dengan kelompok pretes dan postes dari&#13;
sekolah menengah pertama yang berjumlah 100 responden yang terdiri dari 50&#13;
kelompok intervensi dan 50 kelompok kontrol. Intervensi positive self-talk&#13;
diberikan sebanyak 8 sesi selama 4 minggu dengan durasi 90 menit per sesi.&#13;
Mekanisme koping pada remaja diukur menggunakan MAXS (Maladaptive and&#13;
Adaptive Coping Style) dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent t test. Hasil uji&#13;
hipotesis terdapat peningkatan nilai mean sebelum dan sesudah intervensi yang&#13;
diberikan pada kelompok intervensi dengan p value 0,00 &lt; ? 0,05.  Intervensi&#13;
positive self-talk disarankan diberikan kepada remaja untuk meningkatkan&#13;
mekanisme koping dalam mencegah terjadinya bullying.&#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;

Bullying among adolescents is one of the common problems in schools that can &#13;
cause various destructive effects including anxiety, insomnia, depression, and&#13;
suicide. Coping mechanisms are ways to deal with changes faced/received by the&#13;
body which are appraised as demanding and lead to a non-specific body response,&#13;
namely stress. This study aims to improve coping mechanisms in preventing&#13;
bullying by using a positive self-talk (PST) intervention. The study used a quasiexperiment&#13;
&#13;
design with pretest and posttest groups from junior high schools,&#13;
totaling 100 respondents comprising 50 intervention groups and 50 control groups.&#13;
The positive self-talk intervention was provided in as many as 8 sessions for 4&#13;
weeks with a duration of 90 minutes per session. Coping mechanisms among&#13;
adolescents were measured using MAXS (Maladaptive and Adaptive Coping Style)&#13;
and analyzed using the Independent t-test. Hypothesis test results showed that there&#13;
was an increase in the mean values before and after the intervention given to the&#13;
intervention groups with a p-value = 0.00 &lt; ? = 0.05. The study recommends that a&#13;
positive self-talk intervention be given to adolescents to improve their coping&#13;
mechanisms in order to prevent bullying.&#13;
