 <note>This study is library research. The reason of this study is to solve these following problems: the teaching technique that used by the teacher gave a very little opportunity to the students to talk and they rarely practice dialogue that was why they can’t speak English. The objective of this study is to describe how Role Play can be used in speaking class to help students to communicate orally. The data are taken from books, journals, and internet to prove the topic. The results of this study are: 1) students can communicate orally in English by using Role Play activity. It is because the students were allowed to act out a play and practice dialogue. 2) students have many chances to practice dialogue. Also role play makes the students are able to create situation, make dialogue and they can interact with each other. This study is expected be useful for English teacher and other writers.</note>
