ABSTRAK Tumpahan batubara lepas pantai di perairan Ujung Kareung pada Juli 2018 menyebabkan kontaminasi pada perairan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Januari 2019 atau tujuh bulan setelah tragedi itu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kondisi air di daerah ini menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran. Sampel air dikumpulkan dari 3 stasiun dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Parameter yang diukur adalah salinitas, pH, DO, BOD, logam berat (Pb, Cd, Cu, Mn) dan amonia. Berdasarkan hasil indeks pencemaran, diperoleh bahwa perairan ini tercemar ringan dengan nilai indeks 3,04. Kata kunci: metode indeks pencemaran, parameter ABSTRACT The offshore coal spill in Ujung Kareung waters in July 2018 caused the contamination of the waters. This research was carried out in January 2019 or seven months after the tragedy. The objective of this research was to evaluate the water condition in this area using the pollution index method. Water samples were collected from three station with 3 repetitions. The measured parameters were salinity, pH, DO, BOD, heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cu, Mn) and ammonia. Based on the result of pollution index, it was obtained that this waters was lightly polluted with the index value was 3.04.
