Preparasi katalis heterogen dari limbah tulang ayam (Gallus gallus domesticus) telah&#13;
berhasil dilakukan melalui variasi temperatur kalsinasi 600ºC dan 900ºC selama 4&#13;
jam. Oksida logam hasil kalsinasi dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD dan SEM-EDS.&#13;
Hasil penyesuaian difraksi dari hasil kalsinasi dengan difraktogram XRD pada data&#13;
JCPDS diketahui bahwa telah terbentuknya 3 jenis fase oksida kalsium, yaitu&#13;
Ca5(PO4)3(OH), CaCO3 dan CaO. Analisa menggunakan SEM menginformasikan&#13;
padatan oksida anorganik kalsium tanpa proses kalsinasi memiliki morfologi amorf,&#13;
sedangkan setelah 600ºC dan 900ºC morfologinya menjadi lebih homogen. Analisa&#13;
lainnya menggunakan EDS dengan tanpa kalsinasi memiliki kandungan unsur Ca&#13;
sebanyak 11,56%, pada kalsinasi 600ºC dan 900ºC memiliki kandungan utama Ca&#13;
masing-masing yaitu 10,36% dan 35,10%. Hasil penelitian juga mengonfirmasi&#13;
bahwa katalis hasil preparasi memiliki aktivitas katalitik pada reaksi transesterifikasi&#13;
minyak kelapa dengan metanol, yang menghasilkan yaitu metil nonanoat dan metil&#13;
kaprat, sebagai dua kandungan senyawa utamanya.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Preparation of heterogeneous catalysts from chicken bone waste (Gallus gallus&#13;
domesticus) has been successfully carried out with variations in calcination&#13;
temperature of 600ºC and 900ºC for 4 hours. Calcined metal oxides are characterized&#13;
using XRD and SEM-EDS. The results obtained from calcination results with XRD&#13;
diffractogram on JCPDS data are believed to have formed 3 types of calcium oxide&#13;
phases, namely Ca5(PO4)3(OH), CaCO3 and CaO. Analysis using SEM informs&#13;
inorganic calcium oxide solids without calcination process that have amorphous&#13;
morphology, whereas after 600ºC and 900ºC the morphology becomes more&#13;
homogeneous. Other analysis using EDS without calcination has an elemental&#13;
content of Ca as much as 11,56% at calcination of 600ºC and 900ºC having the main&#13;
content of Ca 10,36% and 35,10% respectively. The results also prove that the&#13;
research results in the preparation having catalytic activity in the transesterification&#13;
reaction of coconut oil with methanol, which produces methyl nonanoate and methyl&#13;
caprate, as two sources that produce test results.&#13;
