Ikan bandeng merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang mengandung&#13;
protein hewani yang tinggi dan tidak mengandung kolesterol sehingga memiliki&#13;
banyak peminat. Tingginya permintaan konsumen akan ikan bandeng, menyebabkan&#13;
perlunya dilakukan upaya untuk menekan biaya produksi ikan bandeng dengan cara&#13;
pemberian probiotik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian&#13;
probiotik ragi dan bakteri asam laktat (RABAL) buah dengan dosis yang berbeda&#13;
terhadap perkembangan sel usus benih ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) melalui&#13;
pengukuran histomorfometri vili usus. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April s.d&#13;
Mei 2019 di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau Ujung Batee Aceh Besar, dan&#13;
selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran histomorfometri yang bertempat di Laboratorium&#13;
Patologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Data dianalisis&#13;
menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan&#13;
dan 4 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji yaitu pemberian probiotik RABAL pada&#13;
media air sekali sehari dengan dosis (A) 0 ppm, (B) 75 ppm, (C) 150 ppm dan (D)&#13;
225 ppm. Benih ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos) yang digunakan yaitu benih&#13;
berukuran 2 cm yang diperoleh dari tambak yang berlokasi di daerah Layeun Aceh&#13;
Besar. Berdasarkan hasil uji ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) diperoleh nilai terbaik&#13;
terdapat pada perlakuan 225 ppm dengan luas permukaan vili 1,60+0,163 µm&#13;
,&#13;
pertumbuhan berat mutlak 0,23+0,081 g, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 2,80+0,188&#13;
cm, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 85,00+7,07 %, sedangkan nilai terendah&#13;
ditunjukkan pada perlakuan 0 ppm (kontrol) dengan luas permukaan vili 0,90+0,115&#13;
µm&#13;

, pertumbuhan berat mutlak 0,19+0,81 g, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak&#13;
1,74+0,174 cm, dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 75,00+4,08 %. Hasil penelitian&#13;
menunjukkan bahwa pemberian RABAL dengan konsentrasi berbeda berpengaruh&#13;
nyata (P0,05) terhadap&#13;
kelangsungan hidup benih ikan bandeng. Nilai parameter kualitas air pada penelitian&#13;
ini masih pada kisaran normal untuk pemeliharaan ikan bandeng yaitu salinitas 15&#13;
ppt dan suhu 30&#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
Milkfish is one of the fisheries commodities that contain high animal protein&#13;
and does not contain cholesterol, these reason sparks a load of consumer interest. The&#13;
high consumer interest lead to an increasing demand for milkfish resulting an effort&#13;
to reduce the cost of milkfish production by providing probiotics. This study aims to&#13;
determine the effect of giving yeast and lactic acid bacteria (RABAL) probiotics in&#13;
different doses to the surface area of villi milkfish (Chanos chanos) seeds through&#13;
measurement of intestinal villi histomorphometry. This research was conducted in&#13;
April until May 2019 at the Ujung Batee Aceh Besar Brackish Aquaculture Fisheries&#13;
Center, and subsequently histomorphometric measurements at the Pathology&#13;
Laboratory of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University. The data&#13;
were analyzed using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 4&#13;
levels of treatment and 4 replications. The treatments tested were administering&#13;
RABAL probiotics on water media once a day at a dose of (A) 0 ppm, (B) 75 ppm,&#13;
(C) 150 ppm and (D) 225 ppm. The milkfish seeds (Chanos chanos) that being used&#13;
are 2 cm seeds obtained from ponds located in the Layeun, Aceh Besar. Based on the&#13;
ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) test results, the best value is in the 225 ppm&#13;
treatment with villi surface area 1,60+0,163 µm&#13;

, weight growth 0,23+0,081 g,&#13;
length growth 2,80+0,188 cm, and survival rate 85,00+7,07 %, while the lowest&#13;
value was shown at 0 ppm treatment (control) with villi surface area 0,90+0115 µm&#13;
,&#13;
weight growth 0,19+0,81 g, length growth 1,74+0,174 cm, and survival rate&#13;
75,00+4,08 %. The results showed that the giving of RABAL with different&#13;
concentrations had a significant effect (P0,05) on the survival&#13;
rate of milkfish seeds. The value of water quality parameters in this study is still in&#13;
the normal range for the maintenance of milkfish, with 15 ppt and 29-31&#13;
C&#13;
temperature. &#13;
