Penelitian ini membahas tentang penyelesaian kontrol optimal pada model korupsi &#13;
Caulkins. Fungsi objektif pada model korupsi Caulkins adalah keuntungan yang&#13;
didapatkan politisi dari melakukan korupsi dan popularitas yang didapatkan dari&#13;
memberantas korupsi. Terdapat dua kendala pada model korupsi Caulkins yakni&#13;
popularitas politisi dan tingkat kesadaran masyarakat terhadap korupsi. Popularitas&#13;
politisi bergantung pada tingginya ingatan masyarakat terhadap korupsi politisi,&#13;
sedangkan tingkat kesadaran masyarakat bergantung kepada banyaknya bukti&#13;
korupsi politisi dan ingatan masyarakat terhadap korupsi yang telah terjadi.&#13;
Permasalahan ini diselesaikan dengan tiga metode yakni metode multiple shooting,&#13;
tomlab PROPT dan fungsi fmincon pada MATLAB. Selain diterapkannya ketiga&#13;
metode tersebut, pada penelitian ini juga  dilakukan perbandingan dan analisis&#13;
terhadap solusi dari masing-masing metode. Hasil dari perbandingan metode multiple&#13;
shooting, tomlab PROPT dan fungsi fmincon dapat disimpulkan bahwa solusi yang&#13;
didapatkan lebih optimal dengan menggunakan tomlab PROPT dibandingkan dengan&#13;
kedua metode yang lain. &#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
 &#13;
This research discusses the solution of optimal control in the Caulkins corruption&#13;
model. The objective functions of the Caulkins corruption model are the profits that&#13;
politicians get from committing corruption and the popularity gained from&#13;
eradicating corruption. There are two constrain functions of the Caulkins corruption&#13;
model, namely the popularity of politicians and the level of public awareness of&#13;
corruption. The popularity of politicians depends on the high memory society&#13;
against the corruption of politicians, while the level of public awareness depends on&#13;
the evidence of corruption by politicians and public memory of corruption that has&#13;
occurred. This problem will be solved by three methods namely multiple shooting&#13;
method, tomlab PROPT and fmincon function in MATLAB. In addition to the&#13;
application of the three methods, in this research the results of the three methods will&#13;
be compared and analyzed. The results of the comparison from multiple shooting&#13;
methods, Tomlab PROPT and fmincon functions, it could be concluded that the&#13;
solutions obtained were more optimal by using the tomlab PROPT method compared&#13;
to the other two methods. &#13;
