Upaya meningkatkan kesuburan tanah pada lahan kering dapat dilakukan melalui pemberian biochar dan pupuk kandang sebagai pembenah tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis biochar berbeda jenis dan pupuk kandang terhadap sifat kimia Entisol dan produksi kacang tanah pada musim tanam kedua. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan faktorial dengan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok. Faktor pertama adalah biochar dengan dosis 0 t ha-1, biochar sekam padi 10 t ha-1, dan biochar sabut kelapa 10 t ha-1. Faktor kedua adalah pupuk kandang dengan dosis 0 t ha-1, 10 t ha-1 dan 20 t ha-1. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan 27 plot percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian biochar sabut kelapa 10 t ha-1 cenderung meningkatkan Kalium yang dapat dipertukarkan (K-dd) tanah dari 0,32 cmol kg-1 menjadi 1,67 cmol kg-1. Demikian pula pemberian pupuk kandang 10 t ha-1 cenderung meningkatkan K-dd tanah dari 0,35 cmol kg-1 menjadi 1,2 cmol kg-1. Pemberian biochar sekam padi yang dikombinasikan dengan pupuk kandang 20 t ha-1 cenderung meningkatkan hasil kacang tanah dari 3,18 t ha-1 menjadi 3,96 t ha-1. &#13;

Efforts to improve soil fertility of dryland can be done through the additions of biochar and cow manure as soil amendments. The research aim to study the effect of different types of biochar and cow manure doses to Entisol chemical properties  and peanut yields in second planting season. This research was a factorial experiment with randomized block design. First factor was biochar with the doses of 0 t ha-1, rice husk biochar 10 t ha-1, and cocopeat biochar 10 t ha-1. Second factor was cow manure with the doses of 0 t ha-1, 10 t ha-1 and 20 t ha-1. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 9 treaments combination and 27 experimental plots. The results showed that the application of cocopeat biochar 10 t ha-1 tended to increase soil exchangeable-K from 0,32 cmol kg-1 to 1,67 cmol kg-1, and cow manure 10 t ha-1 could increase soil exch-K from 0,35 to 1,2 cmol kg-1. Combination of rice husk biochar 10 t ha-1 with cow manure 20 t ha-1 tended to increase peanut yields from 3,18 t ha-1 to 3,96 t ha-1.  &#13;
