Abstract Name : Tria Maisal Jannah Student No. : 1206102020040 Study Program : English Education Title : An Analysis of Moral Values in “Coco” Movie Key words : Moral values, Coco, Movie This is a literature study on moral values regarding to the types of moral value based on Linda & Eyre (1993) in “Coco” movie. This research aims to identify and describe the types of moral value and theme in movie. This research used a qualitative method. The subject of this research was “Coco” movie and the moral values and theme of the movie as the object. This research applied observation sheet (scene checklist) as an instrument. The researcher collected and classified the data based on moral values acted by the character and theme in “Coco” movie. The findings of this research shows that there are nine types of moral values found in the movie.They are honesty, courage, peace of ability, self-confidence and potential, loyalty and dependability, respect, love and affection, unselfishness and sensitivity, and kindness and friendliness. The love and affection is the dominant used by the characters rather than other types. The theme of this movie is pursuing a dream and love and affection of family.
