 <note>The reason for this research is because smartphone user need to know the function of their smartphone and how to communicate with their smartphone, then the translation of manual book is very important for that information. By knowing the translation technique then we know if the translation is correct or not. The focus for this research is Samsung’s manual book. This research aims to find translation techniques used only in Samsung’s GT-19500 manual book. the This research used descriptive research method to help writer in his research of translation techniques found in the manual book. The writer identify what translation techniques the sentence contain. Based on that, the sentence will become tokens that will be recorded in microsoft excel. Then the tokens will be discussed with explanation why it was categorized in that translation technique. In conclusion the writer found 9 translation techniqes was used in the manual book. The translation techniques used in Samsung’s GT-19500 manual book are borrowing 56 data (40.29%), literal translation 34 data (24.46%), calque 17 data (12.23%), transposition 9 data (6.47%), equivalence 8 data (5.76%), adaptation 7 data (5.03%), modulation 4 data (2.88%), generalization 2 data (1.43%), and omission 2 data (1.43%). The writer recommends other research to find translation technique that focus on something else other than smartphone manual book and can use this research as a reference.</note>
