ABSTRAK

Komunitas masyarakat Teunom di Banda Aceh yang diberinama IKAMAT, pada dasarnya komunitas ini di bentuk karena ada tujuan yang ingin di capai bersama yaitu menjaga hubungan kekeluargaan, persaudaraan dan kebersamaan sesama masyarakat Teunom yang sudah lama menetap di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran komunitas IKAMAT dalam meningkatkan eksistensi masyarakat Teunom di Kota Banda Aceh, faktor apa saja yang membuat komunitas perantauan masyarakat Teunom masih tetap eksis di Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif guna melihat dan menggambarkan secara rinci permasalahan yang diteliti. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokuentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Peran komunitas IKAMAT dalam meningkatkan eksistensi masyarakat Teunom bisa dilihat dari kohesi atau persatuan yang sudah mereka bangun bersama hal ini dapat di lihat dari bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan bersama dikomunitas IKAMAT,Kegiatan tersebut tidak akan bisa mereka lakukan tanpa adanya komunitas IKAMAT. Karena dengan adanya komunitas ini mereka dengan mudah melakukan interaksi sesama orang Teunom sehingga menghasilkan kegiatan yang sifatnya meningkatkan eksistensi orang Teunom yang tinggal dan menetap di Kota Banda Aceh. Kemudian faktor yang membuat masyarakat Teunom masih tetap eksis di Banda Aceh karena beberapa faktor antara lain faktor adanya IKAMAT, adaptasi dan terakhir faktor dukungan ekternal yang terjadi didalam komunitas IKAMAT.

ABSTRACT

The Teunom community in Banda Aceh, which was named IKAMAT, basically formed this community because there was a goal to be achieved together, namely to maintain family relations, brotherhood and togetherness among the Teunom people who had long settled in Banda Aceh. This study aims to determine the role of the IKAMAT community in enhancing the existence of the Teunom community in Banda Aceh, what factors make the Teunom community's overseas community still exist in Banda Aceh. This study uses qualitative methods to see and describe in detail the problems studied. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the IKAMAT community in enhancing the existence of the Teunom community can be seen from the cohesion or unity they have built together with this can be seen in the form of activities carried out jointly in the IKAMAT community, they will not be able to do it without the IKAMAT community . Because with this community they easily interacted with the Teunom people to produce activities that enhance the existence of Teunom people who live and live in the city of Banda Aceh. Then the factors that make the Teunom community still exist in Banda Aceh because of several factors including the factor of the existence of IKAMAT, adaptation and finally the external support factors that occur within the IKAMAT community.
