ABSTRAK
Pada tanggal 2 Januari 2018, RSUD Singkil diterpa pemberitaan tentang kematian
bayi akibat tidak adanya keterampilan pemasangan infus di rumah sakit tersebut.
Serambinews.com menjadi salah satu media yang mengangkat berita ter sebut.
Pemberitan tersebut membuat RSUD Singkil menjadi perhatian publik karena
pertama kalinya RSUD Singkil diterpa berita negatif. Hal tersebut dapat
mempengaruhi citra RSUD Singkil yang telah dibangun sebelumnya. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberitaan Serambinews.com tentang bayi
meninggal di RSUD Singkil terhadap citra rumah sakit pada masyarakat desa Rimo,
Aceh Singkil. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori agenda setting.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksplanatif kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel dalam
penelitian ini adalah 97 orang yang terpilih dengan menggunakan accidental
sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei dengan menggunakan
kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan
SPSS versi 21. Hasil uji hipotesis terdapat nilai thitung sebesar 3,694 sedangkan nilai
ttabel 1,985 pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hal ini berarti pemberitaan Serambinews.com
tentang bayi meninggal di RSUD Singkil berpengaruh positif terhadap citra rumah
sakit di mata masyarakat.

ABSTRACT
On January 2nd, 2018, news about the death of an infant at the Public Hospital of
Singkil was circulated online. It was alleged that the improper installation of
intravenous infusion caused the death of the infant. One of the newspapers which
published such incident was Serambinews.com. The news drew the public attention
to the Public Hospital of Singkil because it was the first time the hospital was hit by
the negative news which may affect the public perception toward the hospital. The
study aimed to find out about the effect of t he news on the infant death at the Public
Hospital of Singkil by Serambinews.com on the public perception in Desa Rimo
toward the hospital in Aceh Singkil. The agenda-setting theory was used in the
current study. The study is an explanative quantitative study. The number of samples
in the study was 97 people selected using accidental sampling. The data were
collected using the survey method by distributing questionnaires. The data were
analyzed using simple linear regression with the statistical software, SPSS 21. The
