ABSTRACT &#13;
The study aim at determining the effect of emotional intelligence and employee&#13;
engagement on the performance of administrative employees with ‘commitment’ as&#13;
mediation variables. This research sampled a number of staff of the public hospital RSUD dr&#13;
Zainoel Abidin, The data was collected through interviews and questionnaires which were&#13;
then analyzed using AMOS program with SEM (Sequal Equating Model) methods. The&#13;
results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between the emotional&#13;
intelligence of employees on their work performance. Similarly, there is a positive&#13;
correlation between employee enggagament on working performance. The research&#13;
recommends to increase employee’s work performance through employee engangement&#13;
activities and capacity builidings, including in-house trainings and staff retreats. &#13;

penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan informasi pengaruh kecerdasan emosional, &#13;
employee engagement dan komitmen pada kinerja pegawai administrasi dengan&#13;
komitmen sebagai variable mediasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 210 pegawai&#13;
administrasi RSUD dr Zainoel Abidin yang semuanya di jadikan sebagai sampel.&#13;
Penghimpunan data dilakukan secara wawancara serta menyebarkan kuesioner lalu&#13;
dianalisis menggunakan AMOS dengan metode SEM (Structural Equating Model). &#13;
Hasil penelitian menjabarkan bahwa ada pengaruh secara positif dan signifikan pada&#13;
variabel kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja dan hubungan secara positif juga&#13;
pada variabel employee enggagament terhadap kinerja. Sabagai implikasi praktis nya&#13;
adalah menjadi bahan acuan pihak manajemen dalam meningkatkan komitmen dan&#13;
kinerja pegawai administrasi RSUD. Dr Zainoel Abidin melalui employee&#13;
engagement baik dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang termasuk ke dalam kegiatan in&#13;
House training maupun out bond  &#13;
