Bertujuan mendeskripsikan korelasi antara kemampuan membaca dan kemampuan&#13;
menulis teks negosiasi siswa kelas x SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara, korelasi antara&#13;
penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi siswa kelas x&#13;
SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara, dan korelasi antara kemampuan membaca, penguasaan&#13;
struktur kalimat dan kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi siswa kelas x SMA Negeri 1&#13;
Mutiara. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelatif. Jenis&#13;
adalah penelitian korelatif. Teknik pengumpulan adalah teknik tes untuk ketiga&#13;
variabel, yaitu tes kemampuan membaca, tes penguasaan struktur kalimat, dan tes&#13;
kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi. Data penelitian diolah secara korelatif. Hasil&#13;
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) nilai korelasi (r) antara kemampuan membaca dan&#13;
kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi sebesar -0,225 menunjukkan hubungan rendah.&#13;
Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel kemampuan membaca dan&#13;
variabel kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi. Dengan demikian, Ha diterima dan H0&#13;
ditolak (2) nilai korelasi (r) antara penguasan struktur kalimat dan kemampuan&#13;
menulis teks negosiasi sebesar 0,212 menunjukkan hubungan rendah. Terdapat&#13;
hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel penguasaan struktur kalimat dan variabel&#13;
kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi. Dengan demikian, Ha dinyatakan diterima dan&#13;
H0 ditolak (3) nilai korelasi (r) antarvariabel kemampuan membaca, penguasaan&#13;
struktur kalimat dan kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi sebesar 0,267 menunjukkan&#13;
hubungan yang rendah. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan&#13;
membaca, penguasaan struktur kalimat dan kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi.&#13;
Dengan demikian, Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak.&#13;

This study aims to describe the correlation between reading ability and ability of&#13;
writing negotiation text of grade X students at State Senior High School 1 Mutiara,&#13;
correlation between the mastery of sentence structure and the ability of writing&#13;
negotiation text of Grade X students in State Senior High School 1 Mutiara.&#13;
Moreover, the research is an attempt to define the correlation between reading&#13;
ability, sentence structure mastery and the ability of writing negotiation text of Grade&#13;
X in Senior High School 1 Mutiara. The research approach used in this study was&#13;
quantitative with correlative method. The type of this research is correlative research.&#13;
The data collection technique used for the three variables is reading comprehension&#13;
test, sentence structure mastery test, writing test of negotiation text. The data was&#13;
analyzed correlatively. The result of the analysis shows that (1) the correlation (r)&#13;
value between reading ability and ability of writing the negotiation text is at -0.225&#13;
which is low. Thus, there is significant correlation between the reading ability&#13;
variable and ability of writing the negotiation text variable. Therefore, Ha is accepted&#13;
and H0 is rejected. (2) the correlation (r) value between sentence structure mastery&#13;
and ability of writing the negotiation text is at 0.212 which is low. Therefore, there is&#13;
significant correlation between sentence structure mastery and ability of writing the&#13;
negotiation text. Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. (3) the correlation (r) value&#13;
between variable of reading ability, sentence structure mastery, and ability of writing&#13;
the negotiation text is at 0.267 which is low. Therefore, there is significant&#13;
correlation between reading ability, sentence structure mastery, and the ability of&#13;
writing negotiation text. Thus, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.</note>
