ABSTRAK PERANCANGAN PUSAT SHOWROOM FURNITUR DI BANDA ACEH Oleh Aulia Nurul Zahrina NIM : 1404104010056 Abstrak Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk di Aceh serta kondisi Aceh saat ini yang sedang dalam masa pembangunan, menarik perhatian investor untuk mengembangkan usaha dibidang perdagangan furnitur. Kedudukan Banda Aceh sebagai titik central bagi setiap kegiatan penduduk Aceh melatarbelakangi Banda Aceh sebagai wilayah yang strategis untuk dikembangkan pusat showroom furnitur yang memiliki tiga fungsi utama yaitu sebagai bangunan komersial, bangunan rekreasi, dan showroom center. Lokasi perancangan terletak di Jl. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasan, Batoh, Lueng Bata, Aceh. Sesuai dengan tuntutan zaman perancangan gedung ini menggunakan tema arsitektur modern form follow function yang dikembangkan oleh Louis Henri Sullivan. Penerapan tema ini diharapkan mampu melahirkan sebuah rancangan yang memiliki karakteristik tersendiri serta mampu menjunjung tingkat kenyamanan pengguna dengan sempurna. Proses perancangan bangunan ini dimulai dengan pendekatan studi lapangan, studi literatur, studi banding yang memiliki kesamaan dengan objek yang akan dirancang. Proses selanjutnya adalah mengidentifikasi masalah yang ditemukan dalam proses perancangan, yaitu dengan menganalisis dan mencari solusi yang tepat sehingga menghasilkan desain akhir yang sesuai dan berhasil khususnya dalam pandangan pengguna bangunan. Kata kunci: Showroom, Furnitur, Banda Aceh, Arsitektur Modern ABSTRACT DESIGN OF FURNITURE SHOWROOM CENTER IN BANDA ACEH By Aulia Nurul Zahrina NIM: 1404104010056 Abstract The increasing number of people in Aceh and the condition of Aceh which is currently under construction, attracts investors to develop businesses in the furniture trade sector. The position of Banda Aceh as a central point for every activity of the Acehnese people lies behind Banda Aceh as a strategic area to be developed by the furniture showroom center which has three main functions, namely as a commercial building, recreational building, and showroom center. The design location is located at Jl. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Hasan, Batoh, Lueng Bata, Aceh. In accordance with the demands of the era of designing this building using the theme of modern form follow function architecture developed by Louis Henri Sullivan. The application of this theme is expected to be able to produce a design that has its own characteristics and is able to uphold the user's comfort level perfectly. The process of designing this building begins with a field study approach, literature study, comparative studies that have similarities with the object to be designed. The next process is to identify the problems found in the design process, namely by analyzing and looking for the right solution so as to produce the final design that is suitable and successful especially in the view of building users.
