Upaya Komisi Independen Pemilihan (KIP) Aceh Dalam Mensosialisasikan Pesan Damai “Pilihan Boleh Beda Geutanyoe Meusyedara” Untuk Menyukseskan Pilkada Aceh 2017 ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul Upaya Komisi Independen Pemilihan (KIP) Aceh Dalam Mensosialisasikan Pesan Damai “Pilihan Boleh Beda Geutanyoe Meusyedara” Untuk Menyukseskan Pilkada Aceh 2017. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya Komisi Independen Pemilihan (KIP) Aceh dalam mensosialisasikan pesan damai kepada masyarakat Aceh untuk menekan atau meminimalisirkan tingkat peluang terjadinya kekerasan/intimidasi yang kerap terjadi selama pemilihan kepala daerah berlangsung, seperti halnya kekerasan/intimidasi yang kerap terjadi pada Pilkada Aceh sebelumnya yaitu pada pemilihan tahun 2012 lalu. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, peneliti menganalisis hasil penelitian ini dengan bantuan teori peran (role theory). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Komisi Independen Pemilihan telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menyukseskan Pilkada Aceh 2017, adapun upaya yang dilakukan adalah dengan menginstruksikan KIP Kota/Kabupaten untuk lebih mengutamakan sosialisasi pesan damai, bekerjasama dengan Polda Aceh untuk mengajak petinggi-petinggi partai lokal di aceh untuk deklarasi pilkada damai, mengadakan acara-acara hiburan bertema Pilkada damai dan mengarak maskot Pilkada damai “Si Tambo” ke seluruh kota besar di Aceh, semua upaya yang dilakukan oleh KIP semata-mata untuk mewujudkan Pilkada Aceh dapat berjalan aman dan damai. The purpose of this study is to find out the effort of The Aceh Independent Election Commission (KIP) is promoting social messages to Acehnese people to decrease or minimize the level of violence or intimidation possibility that may occurs during the local leader elections as it happened in the previous local leader election in 2012. In this study the researcher used a qualitative descriptive approach and using observation, interviews and documentation as the technique of data collections. The researcher analyzed this research by using the role theory. The results of this study indicates that the Independent Election Commission has made various efforts to succeed the Aceh Local Leader Election 2017. The efforts are giving a command to the each regional of independent election commission to make priority of the peace message in the election, Collaborating with the regional police to ask the officials declarating the peace local leader election, making some entertaining programs with a peaceful local leader election theme, and also parading “Tambo” the mascot of peaceful election to all major cities in Aceh. All the efforts that have done by The Aceh Independent Election Commission are to create the peaaceful local leader election in Aceh.
