 <note>ABSTRAK &#13;
Multi Level Marketing semakin marak berkembang dari waktu ke waktu. Bisnis Multi&#13;
Level Marketing adalah salah satu sistem bisnis yang menggunakan jaringan kerja&#13;
dan penjualannya dilakukan secara langsung oleh distributor kepada prospek atau&#13;
konsumen tanpa melalui perantara. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui&#13;
gaya komunikasi yang dipakai distributor Multi Level Marketing (MLM) TIENS&#13;
dalam meningkatkan minat gabung prospek. Tipe penelitian ini menggunakan metode&#13;
penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yakni dengan menyajikan data dalam bentuk deskripsi&#13;
berupa naratif, kata-kata, ungkapan, pendapat dan gagasan yang dikumpulkan oleh&#13;
peneliti dari berbagai sumber. Peneliti memperoleh data berdasarkan wawancara&#13;
mendalam dengan para narasumber yang berkompeten menjawab rumusan masalah,&#13;
dengan menggunakan teknik penarikan informan secara purposive dan melalui studi&#13;
pustaka berdasarkan data-data yang diterima dari beberapa informan yaitu distributor&#13;
Multi Level Marketing (MLM) TIENS yang berstatus sebagai mahasiswa Unsyiah&#13;
maupun prospeknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menarik minat&#13;
gabung prospek para distributor menggunakan dua gaya komunikasi yaitu gaya&#13;
komunikasi satu arah (The Controling Style) dan gaya komunikasi dua arah (The&#13;
Equalitarian Style). Gaya komunikasi satu arah dinilai efektif dilakukan agar pesan&#13;
yang disampaikan oleh komunikator dapat diterima dengan seutuhnya oleh&#13;
komunikan. Komunikasi dua arah sangat efektif digunakan karena dapat menciptakan&#13;
persepsi yang selaras sehingga tercapainya tujuan dari komunikator. Adapun gaya&#13;
komunikasi tersebut mengacu pada gaya komunikasi yang dikemukakan oleh Tubbs&#13;
dan Moss.&#13;

ABSTRACT &#13;
&#13;
Multi Level Marketing growing increasingly prevalent over time. Business Multi&#13;
Level Marketing is one of the business systems that use networks and sales made&#13;
directly by the distributor to the prospect or customer without going through an&#13;
intermediary. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication styles&#13;
used distributor Multi Level Marketing (MLM) Tiens increase interest in the prospect&#13;
to join. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research method that is by&#13;
presenting data in the form of a narrative description, words, expressions, opinions&#13;
and ideas were collected by researchers from a variety of sources. Researchers&#13;
obtained data based on in-depth interviews with the speakers who are competent to&#13;
answer the formulation of the problem, using a purposive sampling technique&#13;
informants and through literature based on the data received from several informants&#13;
distributor of Multi Level Marketing (MLM) Tiens Unsyiah status as a student or&#13;
prospects. The results showed that in attracting prospects to join the distributors using&#13;
two communication styles are one-way communication style (The Controlling Style)&#13;
and two-way communication style (The Equalitarian Style). One-way communication&#13;
style is considered effective to do so that the message delivered by the communicator&#13;
can be accepted fully by the communicant. Two-way communication is effectively&#13;
used because it can create the perception that aligned so that the attainment of the&#13;
objectives of the communicator.&#13;
