Judul : Profil Sel Epitel Mukosa Bukal dan Lidah Tikus Putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang Dipaparkan Candida albicans Isolat Perokok Setelah Diberikan Ekstrak Rumput Laut (Gracilaria verrucosa)

Gracilaria verrucosa termasuk tanaman herbal karena digunakan untuk bahan alternatif pengobatan, karena kandungannya yang berkhasiat sebagai antivirus, antibakteri, antifungi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek G. verrucosa dalam memperbaiki kerusakan profil sel epitel mukosa bukal dan lidah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang dipaparkan C. albicans isolat perokok. Penelitian eksperimental laboratoris ini menggunakan desain post test only control group. Gracilaria verrucosa dicuci bersih dengan air, ditiriskan dan dipotong menjadi kecil- kecil, kemudian diekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri 2 ekor tikus. Kelompok pertama (kontrol negatif) diberikan aplikasi akuades, kelompok kedua (perlakuan) diberikan aplikasi ekstrak G.verrucosa dan kelompok tiga (kontrol positif) diaplikasikan antijamur flukonazol 50 µg/ml selama 7 hari dan 14 hari. Rattus norvegicus dieutanasia pada hari ke 7 dan hari ke 14 lalu dibuat sediaan histologis dan pewarnaan HE untuk pengamatan sel epitel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada hari ke 7 terjadi penurunan kerusakan pada mukosa bukal dan lidah rattus norvegicus. Hal ini ditandai dengan berkurangnya sel-sel radang dan adanya sel-sel yang regenerasi. Pada hari ke 14 terjadi penurunan kerusakan pada mukosa bukal dan lidah rattus norvegicus juga ditandai dengan susunan sel epitel yang lebih kompak dan rapi. Disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak G. verrucosa memiliki efek dalam memperbaiki kerusakan profil sel epitel mukosa bukal dan lidah tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) yang dipaparkan C. albicans isolat perokok.

Mice (Rattus norvegicus) Exposed by Candida albicans of Smokers Isolates After being Given Seaweed Extract (Gracilaria
verrucosa)

Gracilaria verrucosa is herbal plant, it is used for alternative medicine because the contents play a role as antivirus, antibacterial, and antifungi. This study aimed to determine G. verrucosa extract in preventing damage to the profile of buccal mucosa and tounge epithelial cells of white mice (Rattus norvegicus) exposed by smokers isolates. This research was experimental laboratory using post test only control group design. Gracilaria verrucosa washed cleannly with water, leak through and cut into small part of it, and then extracted with maseration method with ethanol solvent 96%. This research consisted of 3 groups, each consisting of 2 mice. The first group (positive control) was given aquades, the second group (treatment) was given G. verrucosa extract and the last group (negative control) was given fluconazole antifungal for 7 and 14 days. Rattus norvegicus was euthanized on the 7 and 14 days, then histological preparation and HE staining were made to observe epithelial cells. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result of this study have shown on day 7 indicate that there are break down reducing on bucal muccous and tongue of rattus norvegicus. It is indicated with reduced the inhammation cell and there ara regenerate cells. Day 14 shown decrereasing on buccal moccous and tongue of rattus norvegicus also mark with the formation of epitel cell that more compact and reat. It is concluded that G. verrucosa extract has an effect in repairing damage of buccal mucosa and tounge epithelial cells profile of white mice (Rattus norvegicus) exposed by C. albicans of smokers isolates
