Judul Skripsi	: Perbandingan Daya Hambat Ekstrak Daun Kopi Arabika   (Coffea arabica) dan Daun Kopi Robusta (Coffea canephora) terhadap Pertumbuhan  Streptococcus mutans.&#13;

Karies gigi merupakan salah satu infeksi pada jaringan keras gigi. Bakteri yang paling berperan dalam pembentukan karies gigi adalah Streptococcus mutans. Daun kopi merupakan bagian dari tanaman kopi yang memiliki manfaat sebagai antibakteri. Kandungan antibakteri yang terdapat pada daun kopi adalah flavonoid, alkaloid, polifenol, tanin, dan saponin. Terdapat dua jenis kopi yaitu kopi Arabika  (Coffea arabica) dan  kopi Robusta (Coffea canephora). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan daya hambat ekstrak daun kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) dan daun kopi Robusta (Coffea canephora) terhadap pertumbuhan Streptococcus mutans. Metode uji daya hambat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) memiliki daya hambat lebih kuat dibandingkan daun kopi Robusta (Coffea canephora) terlihat dari rerata zona terang yang terbentuk sebesar  3 mm pada daun kopi Arabika (Coffea arabica) dan 0 mm pada daun kopi Robusta.&#13;

Tittle	: Comparison of Inhibitory Effect Between Arabica Coffee Leaves (Coffea arabica) and Robusta Coffee Leaves (Coffea canephora) Extract towards The Growth of Streptococcus mutans.&#13;

Dental caries is one of infectious diseases on dental hard tissue. The bacterial which has most important role caries development is Streptococcus mutans. Coffee leaves are part of a coffee plant that has benefits as an antibacterial. The antibacterial properties found in coffee leaves are flavonoids, alkaloids, polyphenols, tannins, and saponins. There are two types of coffee, Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) and Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora). This research is a laboratory experimental study which aims to compare the inhibitory power of Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica)  leaf and Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora)  leaf extract on the growth of Streptococcus mutans. The inhibitory power test method used in this study is disc diffusion. The results of the study concluded that Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica)  leaf extract has a stronger inhibitory power than Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora)  leaf extract seen from the light zone formed by 3 mm on Arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) leaves and 0 mm in Robusta coffee (Coffea canephora) leaves.&#13;
