ABSTRAK&#13;
&#13;
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapat gambaran yang lengkap, akurat dan terkini tentang gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru di SDN 69 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif  dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini Kepala sekolah, Wakil kepala sekolah, Guru, Komite, dan Pengawassekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional yang digunakan kepalasekolahmenunjukkanhasil yang baikdalampeningkatanmotivasikerjaguru di SD Negeri 69 Banda Aceh; (2) Upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah salah satunya dengan menunjukkan kedisiplinan, ketauladanan dalam bentuk pendekatan individual, social dan kekeluargaan, serta pembinaan dan motivasional, sehingga menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi kerja guru, baik dalam kedisiplinan, proses belajar mengajar, prestasi sekolah serta terjalinnya kerjasama yang baik dengan guru, orang tua, komite sekolah dan pemangkukepentingan; (3) Hambatan yang dihadapidalampelaksanaankepemimpinanTransformasionaldalammeningkatkanmotivasikerjaguru di sekolahadalahadanyatipeguru yang keras dan tidakmausertamertamengikutiinstruksi yang diberikansertaadanyaorangtua yang tidakhadirsaatadapemanggilanorangtua dan rapatkomite, sertakegiatansekolahlainnya. &#13;

This study aimed to have the complete, accurate, and up-to-date description about the principal’s leadership style in improving teacher work motivation at Elementary School number 69 of Banda Aceh. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The subjects of this study were a principal, vice principals, teachers, committees, and school supervisor. The result of the study showed that (1) the transformational leadership style done the principal showed the good result in improving the work motivation of the teacher at the Elementary School number 69 of Banda Aceh; (2) The efforts made by the principal include showing discipline, adherence in the form of an individual, social and family approach, as well as coaching and motivation, thus showing an increase in teacher work motivation, both in discipline, teaching and learning, school achievement and good collaboration. with teachers, parents, school committees and stakeholders; (3) the obstacles faced in the implementation of the transformational leadership in improving the work motivation of the teachers is the existence of the stubborn-type teacher and those who do not want to follow the instruction given, and some parents who do not come when they are invited to have meeting with the committee and other school activities.&#13;
