Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku kerja dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap motivasi dan kepuasan kerja serta dampaknya pada kinerja pegawai dilingkungan Universitas Syiah Kuala. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 193 oang pegawai yang diambil dari 12 fakultas dilingkungan lembaga pendidikan tinggi tersebut. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan peralatan statistik structural equation model (SEM). Penelitian menemukan bahwa perilaku kerja dan kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi dan kepuasan kerja, dan juga terhadap kinerja pegawai. Selanjutnya motivasi dan kepuasan kerja secara langsung juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Keberadaan motivasi dan kepuasan kerja dapat memediasi pengaruh perilaku kerja dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja pegawai. Efek mediasi yang dimunculkan oleh kedua variabel intervening tersebut merupakan mediasi parsial.&#13;

The purpose of the study is to analyze the effect of work behavior and emotional intelligence on work motivation and job satisfaction as well as their impact on the employee performance of faculty in Syiah Kuala University. The sample of the research are 193 employees taken from 12 faculty in the high education institution. Data was collected by using questionnaire, and then the data was analyzed with statistical methods of structural equation model (SEM). The study found that the work behavior and emotional intelligence have a positive and significant effect on work motivation and job satisfaction as well as on employee performance. Furthermore, the work motivation and job satisfaction directly have positive and significant effect on the employee performance. The existence of work motivation and job satisfaction mediate the effect of work behavior and emotional intelligence on the employee performance. The mediating effect of the two intervening variables are partial mediation.&#13;
