 <note>ABSTRACT&#13;
Testicular torsion can have an impact on the contralateral testis. Antioxidant therapy&#13;
is one of option therapy after testicular torsion. One of the antioxidan is curcumin.&#13;
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of turmeric extract (Curcuma&#13;
domestica Val.) on Sertoli cell morphology and number of contralateral testis after&#13;
testicular torsion in rats (Rattus norvegicus). This study used a completely&#13;
randomized design (RAL) consisting of 30 white Wistar male rats and divided into 3&#13;
groups: control group (KO), the treated group P1 torque of 3600 for 4 hours to the&#13;
medial and given a turmeric extract as much as 50 mg/kg body weight/day orally in a&#13;
single dose administered every day for 30 days and P2 groups were given the same&#13;
treatment but were not given the extract of turmeric. Both treatment groups were&#13;
