                                                                             ABSTRACT&#13;
&#13;
Daerah Irigasi (D.I.) Baro has a total area of 11.950 ha which consists of Baro&#13;
Kanan area of 8,920 Ha and Baro Kiri area of 3.030 Ha. Maximum cropping&#13;
intensity indeks of D.I. Baro ranged between 183%-213%. This shows that D.I.&#13;
Baro is unable to meet the water needs for his extensive irrigation services. One of&#13;
the factors that influence the planning and regulation of irrigation water is&#13;
cropping pattern. The aims of this research is to get the best cropping pattern, so&#13;
that the distribution of irrigation water discharge available in D.I. Baro can be&#13;
done optimally, knowing the need of irrigation water in D.I. Baro, knowing the&#13;
maximum plantable area that irrigation can irrigate, and knowing the maximum&#13;
profit that can be achieved by optimization. The data collected in this study is&#13;
secondary data. The method used is the optimization method using linear program &#13;
by modifying planting schedules and cropping patterns as many as 16 alternatives. &#13;
Maximum planting area and maximum profit is generated on Alternative VI&#13;
(paddy-paddy-onions) with an annual planted area of 26.264 ha with 220%&#13;
cropping Intensity index and maximum profit of Rp. 854.399.633.535,-. The most&#13;
suitable cropping pattern to be applied in D.I. Baro is paddy-paddy-onions with&#13;
initial planting schedule October II.&#13;

Daerah Irigasi (D.I.) Baro memiliki luas areal 11.950 Ha yang terdiri dari Baro&#13;
Kanan seluas 8.920 Ha dan Baro Kiri seluas 3.030 Ha. Intensitas tanam&#13;
maksimum D.I. Baro berkisar antara 183% - 213%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa&#13;
D.I. Baro tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan air untuk luas layanan irigasinya.&#13;
Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh pada perencanaan dan pengaturan air irigasi&#13;
adalah pola tanam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan pola tanam terbaik,&#13;
sehingga pembagian debit air irigasi yang tersedia di D.I. Baro dapat dilakukan&#13;
secara optimal, mengetahui kebutuhan air irigasi di D.I. Baro, mengetahui luas&#13;
tanam maksimum yang dapat diairi oleh irigasi, serta mengetahui keuntungan&#13;
maksimum yang dapat dicapai dengan cara optimasi. Data yang dikumpulkan&#13;
pada studi ini merupakan data sekunder. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode&#13;
optimasi dengan menggunakan program linear dengan memodifikasi jadwal&#13;
tanam dan pola tanam sebanyak 16 alternatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian&#13;
diperoleh luas tanam dan keuntungan maksimum dihasilkan pada Alternatif VI&#13;
(padi-padi-bawang merah) dengan luas tanam pertahun sebesar 26.264 ha dengan&#13;
indeks pertanaman 220% dan keuntungan maksimum sebesar Rp.&#13;
854.399.633.535,-. Pola tanam yang paling cocok untuk diterapkan di D.I. Baro&#13;
adalah padi-padi-bawang merah dengan jadwal awal tanam Oktober II.&#13;
