Title : The Implementation of Question Answer Relationship Strategy Training in Reading Comprehension (An Experimental Study at SMP Inshafuddin Banda Aceh)

The objective of this study is to find out whether QAR strategy training improves students’ reading comprehension and to find out the students’ perspectives towards Question Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy training. This study uses experimental research design. The experiment took place at SMP Inshafuddin Banda Aceh. The sample of this study is 22 students in class VIIIA which chosen by random sampling. The research instrument used to gather the data are pretest, posttest and questionnaire. The result of the study was analyzed by using paired t-test formula. The calculation result showed that null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because the result of t-test calculated is 4.85 is higher than t-table 2.08. It means that QAR strategy training improved students’ reading comprehension. Based on the result of questionnaire, the writer concluded the students’ perspective towards QAR strategy is it helps them to find the answer easily.
