ABSTRAK

Penyakit Gagal Ginjal Kronis (GGK) adalah penurunan fungsi ginjal yang terjadi secara progresif, tidak dapat disembuhkan (irreversible), berlangsung lama dan menetap, namun dampak psikologis yang dialami oleh pasien GGK dapat menghambat pengobatan. Hope adalah satuan kognisi terkait tujuan yangdapat membantu pasien mengatasi dampak psikologis sehingga dapat menjalani pengobatan secara maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran hope pada pasien hemodialisa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada 4 orang responden. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan kriteria sudah menjalani terapi hemodialisa minimal 18 bulan, dan kondisi fisiknya dalam keadaan udem (bengkak). Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keempat responden memiliki hope yang buruk, namun jika dilihat dari segi kualitas hope, yaitu pathways dan agency, masing-masing responden memiliki ketekunan menghadapi penyakitnya. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa dukungan keluarga dan pasangan, self-efficacy dan kepasrahan memengaruhi hope pada pasien hemodialisa.

ABSTRACT

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a permanent progressive loss of kidney function, transpiring over a long period of time and irreversible, however the psychological consequence commonly experienced by CKD patients may impact their treatment. Hope is a purpose-related unit of cognition that that can help patients cope with psychological effects so they can undergo maximum treatment.This study aims to understand hope conception in hemodialysis patients. This study is a qualitative study with a case study approach. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 4 respondents undergoing hemodialysis therapy and data was collected through interview and observation. The result shows that all four of the respondents has low hope. On the other hand, in terms of the quality of hope, which are pathways and agency, each respondent has differences of assiduousness in facing their illness. In this research, family and spousal support,, self-efficacy, and acquiescence in God’s will arefactors affecting hope.
