 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Formula dalam matematika adalah suatu pernyataan yang dituliskan secara singkat&#13;
dalam bentuk huruf, angka, atau simbol. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibuktikan formula dari Skn= 1kkk+ 2+ _ _ _ + nuntuk k = 1; 2; 3; dan 4. Sebelumnya, formula&#13;
ini telah dibuktikan dengan cara induksi matematika. Kali ini akan digunakan tiga&#13;
metode lain dalam pembuktiannya. Ketiga metode tersebut adalah metode telescoping, polinomial, dan kombinatorik. Selanjutnya, akan dibandingkan pembuktian dari masing-masing metode tersebut. Selain membuktikan formula yang sudah ada, akan dicari pula formula secara umum dari Sknuntuk setiap k bilangan asli denganmenggunakan metode yang sama. Terakhir, diperoleh informasi mengenai kelebihanmasing-masing metode tersebut dalam pembuktian dan penentuan formulauntuk Skn.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Formula in mathematics is a statement that is written shortly in the form of alphabeth, numbers, or symbol. In this research, the formula of Skn= 1kkk+ 2+ _ _ _ +n, for k = 1; 2; 3; and 4 will be proved. In the previous research this formula has&#13;
already been proved using mathematical induction method. So, in this research,&#13;
the other three methods will be used to prove that formula. These three methods&#13;
are telescoping, polynomial, and combinatoric methods. Then, the proof of each&#13;
method will be compared to each other. Besides of proving the existing formula,&#13;
the general formula for Skn for every natural number k will be determined using the&#13;
same methods as well. Then the advantages of each method could be identi?ed not&#13;
only in the proving processes but also in determining the formula of Skn.&#13;
