ABSTRACT


The purpose of this research is to find out how the pattern of communication of sex education between parents with children and to find out efforts of parents in to anticipate of sexual harassment in Kuta Alam Sub-district, Banda Aceh City. This study uses the Self Disclosure Theory. The approach in this research was a descriptive qualitative method. This research using semi structured interview in collecting of data from 8 parents who had 5-16 years old daughters in Gampong Lambaro Skep and Gampong Beurawe. The results of research by mothers was used the theory of self-disclosure to contact to their children which the parents hopes their children can to contact with opened and not find themselves from their problems. There are 4 communication patterns given by parents that are sex repressive pattern communication, sex avoidant pattern communication, sex obsessive pattern communication, and sex expressive pattern communication. Patterns of communication sex which often used by mothers is sex expressive patterns communication, until parent’s attitude which developes effective communication will make sexual development grows healthily and naturally with the progress of age and children’s knowledge and avoided from probability happen of sexual harassment.Otherwise, wrong communication will make sexual development becomes dusturbed. The eforts of parents also have their method in to anticipate from sexual harassment to children and prevent from sexual promiscuity, therefore the sexuality education is given to children from an early age.

ABSTRAK


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi pendidikan seksual antara orang tua dengan anak serta untuk mengetahui upaya orang tua dalam mengantisipasi pelecehan seksual pada anak di Kecamatan Kuta Alam Kota Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan Self Disclosure Theory (Teori Pengungkapan Diri). Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur dalam mengumpulkan data dari 8 orang tua khususnya para ibu yang memiliki anak perempuan berusia 5-16 tahun di Gampong Lambaro Skep dan Gampong Beurawe. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa para ibu menggunakan teori pengungkapan diri dalam berkomunikasi pada anak dimana para orang tua berharap anak mereka dapat berkomunikasi secara terbuka dan tidak menutup diri dari permasalahan yang dialaminya. Ada 4 pola komunikasi seks yang diberikan orang tua yaitu pola komunikasi seks repressive, pola komunikasi seks avoidant, pola komunikasi seks obsessive, dan pola komunikasi seks expressive. Pola komunikasi seks yang sering digunakan oleh para ibu adalah pola komunikasi seks expressive, sehingga sikap orang tua yang mengembangkan komunikasi efektif akan membuat perkembangan seksual anak tumbuh secara wajar dan sehat sesuai dengan tingkat usia maupun pengetahuan si anak serta dapat terhindar dari kemungkinan terjadinya pelecehan seksual. Sebaliknya, pola komunikasi yang salah akan membuat perkembangan seksual menjadi terganggu. Upaya para orang tua juga memiliki cara mereka masing-masing dalam mengantisipasi pelecehan seksual pada anak serta mencegah pergaulan seks bebas, oleh karena itu pendidikan seksualitas diberikan pada anak sejak dini.
