USER COMFORT FACTOR OF PEDESTRIANWAYS STUDY CASE PANGLIMA POLEM STREET PEUNAYONG BANDA ACEH Cut Monika Alaisia 1404104010104 Abstract T. Panglima Polem street is one of the the growth centers in Banda Aceh. Many activities occurred on that street because the area is a center of trade and services. Along with its development, T. Panglima Polem street has increased the motor vehicle that is quite a lot . This applies to pedestrian user on the street that the pedestrianways has been transformed from pedestrianways into shop-owned venues this is causing cause the inconvenience for pedestrian users. The pedestrianways should be able to accommodate the comfort of pedestrians regarding to the aspects of comfortable on planning. Aspects of comfort are: circulation, accessibility, climate, cleanliness, cleanliness, beauty. This study focuses on the pedestrianways on T. Panglima Polem Peunayong street, Banda Aceh City. The research was conducted by conducting surveys in the field. The data that has been collected is the result of measurement, documentation and distribution of questionnaires. Analytical methods used to describe the situation and environmental conditions based on comfort level and calculation with comfort level. Based on the research results, the comfort level of the aspect is so small because the pedestrianways has been fillled with visited with the goods of the shop owner such as: chairs, cabinets and other attributes. Supporting elements on pedestrianways were also not available on T. Panglima Polem Peunayong street such as a street furniture, lighting, garbage bin and etc. It is necessary to increase the comfort of the pedestrianways so the users can walk freely without any obstacles when there’s happen such an activity.
